Grand Funk Railroad is a perfect choice to show you how band's had to change their music to stay on top and get radio airplay. When Grand Funk first came out it was nothing to have a six, eight, or ten minute song get played on AOR radio. But as radio became owned by large corporate companies who said (people don't want to hear this music they only want to hear short pop songs) Grand Funk started playing what would get airplay.
