Today's lesson is for bass players. Love that rock 'n roll bass line.

Found it very difficult to memorize, as it has no particular sequence, but it's worth trying.

Ed King performed the bass track of this song on Lynyrd Skynyrd's first record, not Leon Wilkeson as it is often misconstrued. Although I think he wrote the bass parts on the demos.

There are a lot of open strings here, some blue notes and a few legatos, too.   Play it with a pick so as to approach the distinctive bass tone of the original recording.
