No, it's not another sequel to 'Taken,' but director Pierre Morel is in talks to direct Sean Penn in 'Prone Gunman.' We just hope Sean Penn likes to run.

Pierre Morel is at it again, and by "at it" we mean taking an older actor and making him run all over Europe like he's a spritely 23 year old. THR reports that Morel is in talks to helm 'Prone Gunman,' written by Peter Travis and based on the novel by Jean-Patrick Manchette.

The film follows in an international operative (Penn), who is double-crossed by the people he works for and has to go on the run to clear his name, sending him on a thrilling game of cat-and-mouse all across Europe. So it's 'Taken,' but instead of getting taken, Sean Penn gets had.

This will be Sean Penn's first major outing in the action genre -- if Morel manages to find another older actor for whatever action flick he makes next, well, three makes a trend. Morel gave Liam Neeson's career a little reinvention with 'Taken,' too. Pretty soon Morel will be the go-to guy for older fellows who want to give their careers a makeover. 'Prone Gunman' is scheduled to begin shooting this spring, so we'll likely see a release sometime next year.
