Usually, our Clash of the Titans series pits classic songs by different artists against each other, but in this edition, we're doing things a little differently: Slash and Judas Priest have both shared their real-life 'Spinal Tap' stories with Ultimate Classic Rock readers, and now it's time for you to vote for your favorite.

Slash's story relates to an infamous Guns N' Roses concert in which, as he told us earlier this year, the disgruntled band's bad attitude spilled over into the set list in the worst possible way. "I still have nightmares about it," he admitted. "We just went out there and couldn’t pull it together -- completely just fell apart, couldn’t hear what the other guy was doing, everybody was just in a completely different place. It was literally just horrible. I think we went on late and as we left the stage early, it started raining -- just the most miserable gig."

Priest's tale, meanwhile, is a little more serious; as they remembered in their own post, they suffered a potentially lethal lighting rig malfunction at a gig that nearly left them without a drummer. "Halfway through the set, one of the chains broke and it came down," guitarist Glenn Tipton recalled. "Missed the drummer by inches, swung right across the stage and back, and missed us by a miracle. And eventually, it slowed down and stopped. We carried on with the number, as true professionals, do…But that was probably nearly the end of Judas Priest."

So which of our real-life 'Spinal Tap' stories gets your vote in this Clash of the Titans challenge? Check out both clips below, and remember: You can cast a ballot once an hour between now and the voting deadline at 11:59PM ET on Dec. 15.
