It’s a Guns N’ Roses reunion, just not the one fans were hoping for. Slash and ‘Appetite for Destruction’ drummer Steven Adler are going to be in studio tonight (March 15) to cut tracks for Adler’s new album.

“Looking forward to laying down some guitars on a song for Steven Adler’s new record tomorrow night,” Slash tweeted on Wednesday. Since exiting GNR in 1990 and between appearances on celebrity rehab shows, Adler has fronted Adler’s Appetite. However, Blabbermouth reports that this project is with a new original lineup, that probably includes some members of Adler’s Appetite. And apparently Slash. OK, it’s it’s not that new.

Meanwhile fans of Axl Rose and company continue to hold their breath in anticipation of an unforgettable reunion at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction April 14. “It’s definitely an honor and I have no idea what’s going to happen on that day,” Slash tells the Associated Press.

“I’m not really necessarily anticipating anything in particular. It’s on the 14th and I’ll go down there and see what happens. With all this, sort of, lack of unity on the subject, it’s hard to really look forward to it, ’cause I don’t know what to anticipate.”

Previously, bassist Duff McKagan said that he too would love a reunion, but he doesn’t know that it’s possible. It looks like it will ultimately be up to Rose to decide if he’ll take the stage with Slash. The two haven’t spoken in years.
