Spring weather conditions can change rapidly in April and May with rain and at times rain mixed with snow. Then you factor in the snow melt that naturally will take place from the over 100 inches of snow in the area this past winter and you have high flood conditions.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a warming trend for the next several days. The warmer temperatures coupled with the snow pack melt could cause high water levels.
If you plan on purchasing flood insurance,
you are reminded that there is a 30-day waiting period from the date that the flood insurance is purchased before the policy goes into effect-DES
