This Thursday, stand up comedian (and one of the funniest men alive) Patton Oswalt guest stars on NBC's beloved 'Parks and Recreation' as a Pawnee, Indiana citizen who attempts to block a city council vote with a lengthy filibuster. Asked to talk at length about whatever he wanted by the producers, Oswalt decided to rant about 'Star Wars Episode 7' and the results are bizarre and glorious as he spins off into 'The Avengers' and 'X-Men' and much much more. Check it out below.

Although we'll only get snippets of Oswalt's rant when the new episode premieres this Thursday, NBC has released the full eight minute take of Oswalt pitching his own version of 'Star Wars Episode 7,' which ends up turning into a crossover with the Marvel superhero universe at one point as The Avengers and then later The X-Men and Fantastic Four show up. No one is better at mining comedy gold out of all things geeky than Oswalt (his stand-up routine breaking down his problems with the 'Star Wars' prequels is iconic at this point) and just listening to him ramble for 8-minutes (which Amy Poehler and the rest of the cast is forced to keep a straight face) translates to comedy gold. He never breaks character, he never laughs, he just keeps going and going and going until you start to think, "You know what? I'd watch this movie..."

This particular episode of 'Parks and Recreation' will air this Thursday. If you watch this clip and think you're missing something by not watching this show, well, you are. It's great.

And J.J. Abrams? The ball is in your court.
