In the latest installment of What Might Have Been, Paul McCartney disclosed that the Beatles occasionally discussed the idea of reuniting. Unfortunately, talks never got past the preliminary stage due to what McCartney called a lack of “passion behind the idea” and fears over whether their newer work together could approach the standards set by their brilliant catalog.

Ex-Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr attended the U.K. premiere of the documentary ‘George Harrison: Living in the Material World’ in London on October 2, as did the widows of their late band mates Harrison (Olivia Harrison) and John Lennon (Yoko Ono).

Their presence sent a loud and clear message about their love and respect for the so-called quiet member of the Fab Four. Other music notables on hand included Beatles producer George Martin and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.
