No one can ever accuse Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson of not pursuing his passions outside of rock music. In addition to being a pilot and brewer, Dickinson has also shown a love of fencing throughout his life. He recently participated in a warm-up session against Bartosz Piasecki, who won the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Bruce Dickinson just can’t sit still. As if fronting Iron Maiden and performing in concert all around the world weren’t enough adventure for one person, the legendary metal singer is also an accomplished pilot who once flew Iron Maiden around the globe on a major tour, as documented in the film ‘Flight 666.’ He’s also flown for Astraeus Airlines, hosted a five-part miniseries about aviation history, and recently launched his own aircraft maintenance company in Wales.
Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden turned down the chance to be a judge on the UK version of TV singing competition The Voice. Artists currently rumored to staff the judges panel include pop singers Adele, Robbie Williams, Grammy Award winner George Michael and English model and singer Cheryl Cole.
