Most musicians write songs about their life experience. However, if you're J.D. Blackfoot, you write a song about a past life experience at the Battle of Little Bighorn that leaves you shaken and bleeding for no logical reason.
We knew they were working on a pair of new albums, and now we’ve got details for the one that will reach fans first: Neil Young and Crazy Horse are slated to return on June 5 with an album entitled ‘Americana.’
Credits for that mind-blowing, 38-minute long mysterious jam session that popped up on Neil Young‘s website Saturday morning (Jan. 28) have been posted on the site. The track is titled ‘Horse Back’ and, as expected, it was the work of Young and his longtime backing band, Crazy Horse.
Neil Young showed up at the Slamdance Film Festival over the weekend to promote ‘Journeys,’ his latest film collaboration with director Jonathan Demme, and during the coffee klatsch the duo held after the screening, Young reportedly dropped a bit of a bombshell: he has a new album with his longtime on-again, off-again band Crazy Horse in the can, and another one already in the works.
