2013 was a busy year for Def Leppard, between their Las Vegas residency, assorted live and studio engagements and guitarist Vivian Campbell’s treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But not busy enough for guitarist Phil Collen, apparently, since he is devoting parts of his holiday season to promoting a new musical endeavor named Delta Deep.
It looks like One Direction have escaped another potential lawsuit for plagiarism. In a recent interview, Def Leppard said that they have no problems with the similarities between their anthem ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’ and the boy band’s ‘Midnight Memories,’ saying, “It’s all good.”
For the second time this year, British boy band One Direction are being accused of ripping off a classic rock tune. The chorus to their new hit, ‘Midnight Memories’ sounds suspiciously like Def Leppard’s ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me.’
