Former Styx front man Dennis DeYoung hasn't been an active member of the group he helped found since 1999, but he still makes his living by playing their greatest hits. DeYoung's current solo band is geared toward recreating the classic Styx sound as closely as possible, and the singer, songwriter and keyboardist has revealed that he is hoping to re-stage the superstar rock group's most successful tour for an upcoming DVD release.

Styx guitarist/singer Tommy Shaw all but shut the door on a reunion with original singer/keyboardist Dennis DeYoung in a recent interview, but DeYoung said he’s open to the idea.

“Look, nobody is a bigger fan of Tommy Shaw than me,” DeYoung said to Rolling Stone. “The day I met him in 1975 I knew he was going to be a great guitar player, performer and songwriter. I was his biggest fan, and I’m Styx’s number one fan. Now am I going to sit here and tell you that it was a bed of roses?”
