A classic rock legend may be returning to the Magic City this summer! The Billings Gazette is reporting in today’s (June 18) paper that Bob Dylan is set to perform at the Rimrock Auto Arena!
It seems like forever since the the Special Olympics Montana State Summer Games have been in Billings. The event was here in 2000. Now the Special Olympics are back in the Magic City through 2014. The games have been in Bozeman the last 3 years.
We all missed having Metrapark available for concerts for almost a year. However, I think that since they’ve opened back up, they’ve really gone balls to the wall. Here’s my list of the Top 5 Best Concerts since they’ve opened. Feel free to disagree. This was kind of hard for me in some cases. :)

Stone Temple Pilots (STP) heads to Billings, Mont., on Tuesday, July 12, 8 PM, at the Rimrock Auto Arena at Metrapark.
Mötley Crüe, one of the world’s most iconic rock bands, will rock the Rimrock Auto Arena on Tuesday, August 9th during their summer headlining tour with special guests New York Dolls.
Mötley Crüe has played to millions of fans around the world, adding this summer’s tour to recent successful outings including Crüe Fest 1 and 2 taking out such notables as Sixx:AM, Godsmack, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Theory Of A Deadman and many others.
This will be a big weekend for MetraPark and Rimrock Auto Arena, with the first two events since the Father's Day tornado. Women of Faith is this Friday and Saturday and Sir Elton John performs Sunday night. MetraPark has released the following maps and instructions on entering and exiting the building, and parking. The key for both events is to get there early!
Born in Montana, the Northern Rodeo Association Finals (NRA FINALS) return to the MetraPark Expo Center. The top 10 NRA Montana Cowboys and Cowgirls in each competitive rodeo event qualify for a share of $100,000 in prize money and awards. This is for the Championship! The NRA Finals has developed a distinct personality of its own while preserving cowboy individualism and true athletic competition. There are always plenty of hookins, hang-ups and slams!

Women of Faith will present its “Over the Top” tour at the Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark on April 8th and 9th 2011. It will be the first event to take place in the arena since it was struck by a tornado last June.
