Mick Jagger says there is a wide mix of music on the upcoming debut by SuperHeavy, his new supergroup with singer/guitarist Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame, plus singers Joss Stone and Damian Marley and composer AR Rahman.

“It’s very approachable,” Jagger says. “If you’re a Rolling Stones fan, there’s definitely stuff you can relate to.”

The reggae-flavored ‘Miracle Worker’ is the first single, and it is among the 12 regular songs on the album, which will also include four bonus tracks.

If you were intrigued by the recent news that Mick Jagger had joined a new band with singers Joss Stone and Damian Marley, guitarist/producer Dave Stewart and composer A.R. Rahman, here’s some good news: You won’t have to wait much longer to hear what they sound like together.

The group, christened SuperHeavy, is planning a September release for their debut album. Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger is apparently working on a new solo album with Dave Stewart (Eurythmics). Jagger’s brother Chris spilled the beans on the project in an interview with Portuguese television, according to Spinner.com.

“He’s doing a record at the moment in Los Angeles with Dave Stewart, he called me last night telling me what he was doing,” Chris Jagger said. “So he keeps in touch.”
