If Slash ever decides to give up his solo career and get back with Velvet Revolver, it will have to be with a different lead singer. In a new interview, the guitarist shut the door on any plans to work again with Scott Weiland, who, in November, expressed a desire to work with the ex-Guns N' Roses musicians again.

Axl Rose has suddenly emerged to do interviews for the first time in years and what he's saying might make former Guns N' Roses bandmates Slash and Duff McKagan a little uncomfortable. Including former girlfriend Stephanie Seymour, Rose says the the trio broke his songwriting spirit.

Many therapists have gotten rich hearing stories about how their patients, at an impressionable age, caught their parents in the throes of passion. Of course, it’s only natural that Slash can pretty much top everybody’s own story of seeing their parents in flagrante delicto, because he’s Slash. In a new interview, he reveals that he once walked in on his mother and David Bowie.

Believe it or not, Slash hasn’t performed everywhere. In fact, the guitarist has one gig that’s eluded him for years that he still wants to play. So please, can’t you tell him how to get… how to get to Sesame Street?

Lemmy from Motorhead joined Slash on stage in Boston, Mass. recently to perform ‘Doctor Alibi,’ their collaboration from Slash’s self-titled 2010 album. You can watch the whole thing right here.

It’s been a big year for Slash. First there was the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, and now the musician has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Slash hasn’t even begun his summer tour, but he’s announced 18 dates for a fall tour of America that will include Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. The trek begins Sept. 4 in San Diego, Calif and wraps up Oct. 3 in Los Angeles and includes stops in major cities across the country.

He’s been a part of some of rock’s biggest records and had his musical gifts affirmed with a membership in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but that doesn’t mean Slash has gotten complacent. In fact, during a recent interview with NPR to promote his latest album, ‘Apocalyptic Love,’ he admitted that he’s “really still like I was when I was 15, trying to figure this thing out.”

Slash will celebrate the May 22 release of his new album, ‘Apocalyptic Love’ with a sold-out concert that night at Irving Plaza in New York. The show will be streamed over at Livestream.

That Velvet Revolver reunion story from a few hours ago was pretty exciting, right? Well… hold onto that happy feeling, because according to Slash that’s all you’re going to get for a while: “I have absolutely no intention of going back to that.”

During a longer conversation about song and lyric writing, Slash told a few stories about how songs like ‘Paradise City’ and ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ came to be. The guitarist tells Metro Lyrics that the well-known Guns N’ Roses hits were pretty spontaneous.

Motley Crue‘s Nikki Sixx and Slash each received awards for their skills with stringed musical instruments on the Revolver Golden Gods awards last night (April 11). Slash was declared ‘Riff Lord’ and Sixx won the Paul Gray Best Bassist honor.
