Two thrilling conference championship games produced a Super Bowl pairing: the New England Patriots will face the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis on Feb. 5. Here’s a recap of all of Sunday’s NFL action:
NFC Championship

Steven Tyler will once again be a part of the Super Bowl festivities. The Aerosmith rocker and country superstar Carrie Underwood are teaming up to play a ‘CMT Crossroads’ special during the “Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam” on Super Bowl weekend.
The recent announcement that Madonna will be performing during the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show in February certainly doesn’t sit well with Gene Simmons. The Kiss singer has bashed Madge’s involvement, insisting that the show would be better of with a “real band.”

The Associated Press is reporting that Gibson signature artist Slash will make a guest appearance with The Black Eyed Peas during their Super Bowl halftime show. Slash, whose recent solo album featured the Peas’ own Fergie, would follow in a long line of legendary guitarists to rock America’s biggest annual sports event, including Pete Townshend, Prince, Keith Richards and Joe Perry.
