We've been awaiting more news on 'Mission: Impossible 5,' and whether or not the rumors that star Tom Cruise would be reuniting with his 'Jack Reacher' director Christopher McQuarrie for the upcoming sequel were true -- as it turns out, McQuarrie is directing 'Mission: Impossible 5,' unless our eyes deceive us.

There's no getting around it, 'All You Need is Kill' was an unwieldy title, and even with Tom Cruise starring in the film, the name could be seen as a turn-off. Tom Cruise and science fiction are a powerful combination. Although the opening weekend of 'Oblivion' didn't break any records big or small, it's a more than solid start for a non-franchise, non-sequel, non-reboot. That's a sad statement on the current state of Hollywood, but that's another topic for another day.
