Montana Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Tester canceled some of his Monday appearance schedule after hurting himself in a fall on Sunday.

Tester spokesman Luke Jackson said [quote] “Jon was on his farm in Big Sandy on Sunday and he slipped and fell in the cold… He got a few stitches, and is now back at the farm resting. He is doing well and in good spirits and plans on being in Helena on Tuesday as scheduled.” [end quote]

Tester was expected to discuss his Blackfoot-Clearwater Stewardship Act in a public meeting in Seeley Lake on Monday morning, and then attend a showing of the documentary “Dark Money” in Missoula on Monday. Tester is seeking reelection, facing challenges from four Republican candidates in the primary race, including Judge Russ Fagg, Auditor Matt Rosendale, businessman Troy Downing and state Sen. Al Olszewski.
