I recently found an article online that ranks some of the greatest hotel room trashers of all time.  I was not surprised to find a few rock legends on the list.

Of course, rock stars and trashed hotel rooms go together like peas and carrots and nobody did it better than the late, great Keith Moon.  In fact, Keith destroyed so many hotel rooms that he was famously banned from staying at any Holiday Inn back in the 60's and 70's.

Keith Richards also made the list.  The article credits the Rollings Stones guitarist for inventing the time honored practice of launching a television off the hotel balcony.  Keith's infamous stay in room 1015 at the Continental Hyatt House in Los Angeles helped the hotel earn its nickname "The Riot House".

Other notable hotel room trashings are attributed to Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt, who allegedly took a dump on the terrace of a room belonging to Oscar winning actress Juliette Binoche.  Then there's former Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland, who was once arrested for demolishing a hotel room along with his then wife Mary Forsberg.  Like the old saying goes, the family that trashes hotel rooms together, stays together.
