The Long Lost Art of Songwriting

Every generation thinks the music that followed their glory days sucks.  Many of us fell in love with rock n roll because it was the music that our parents hated.

But seriously, the current state of the music industry is terrible.  And not just in rock music.  The douchiness covers all genres.  Compare today's "new country" with the good ole classic country from Waylon, Willie and the boys.  It's not the same.

To give you an example of how far we've fallen, I saw a hilarious Facebook meme this morning which sums it up perfectly.  It went a little something like this:
