If you're a rocker, chances are you have a few friends who play in bands.  I've met a bunch of great musicians over the years, including my brother Steve, who plays drums for a band in Denver.  Turns out, there is a right way and a wrong way to talk to your musician friends.

A website called Digital Music News recently posted an article titled "12 Things You Should Never Say to a Musician".  According to their list, it's never acceptable to shout "Play Free Bird" while the band is playing.  Who knew?

Even though this one didn't make the list, I've learned that it's not cool to ask a musician about groupies in front of their wives and girlfriends.  Oops.

If the article leaves you at a loss for words, try asking this question the next time you're hanging out with a guitar player:  You want a beer?  From my experience, that is the one thing that most musicians love to hear.
