Road construction is just part of our everyday commuting life these days.Every spring and summer in Billings over the last several years the road work has improved the look and drive in and around Billings.
Over the last 6 weeks or so Downtown Billings around 27th and 1st and 2nd avenue has been challenging. But I hate to say it, I am kind of getting used to it.
I managed to use the detours that are set up and my own ingenuity at certain times of the day to get to where I need to be, which is in the parking garage across from the Crowne Plaza. It seems that going a block or two out of my way is quicker than trying to fight the construction.
The Grand Avenue Project is in full swing! Businesses on Grand between 18th and 22nd want you to know that they are still open for you to visit. Even during those times where there is construction equipment seems to be blocking your entrance.
The US 310/212 Overhaul Project approximately 2 miles south of Laurel continues to cause slow moving traffic with flaggers in place when work warrants. This portion of the project (phase one) is scheduled to continue through the winter months and has a completion date set for July, 2015.
