Q2 reports that a Fort Peck Tribal law enforcement officer has said he will plead guilty next week to burglarizing the Fort Peck Tribal Law and Justice Building.

33-year-old Mikkel Shields was charged in U.S. District Court in Great Falls with four counts of burglary. As part of a plea agreement, he will only plead to a single count. Shields reportedly went into the Poplar facility with the intent to steal on four occasions in September of 2017. It’s unclear whether any past criminal cases were affected by Shields’ actions.
