Yellowstone National Park is celebrating Martin Luther King day by waiving all entrance fees for the day. Normally a seven day vehicle pass is $25 for a private, noncommercial vehicle. On Monday January 20th, 2014 Yellowstone National Park, as well as all other national parks, there will be no cost to enter the park.

The National Park service plans to waive entrance fees on nine different days in 2014. They're doing this as a way to encourage people to take the time to visit these beautiful and historical sites across our country.

Other fee-free dates for 2014 are:

Feb. 15-17 for the Presidents’ Day weekend;

• April 19-20 for the opening weekend of National Park Week;

• Aug. 25 for the National Park Service’s 98th birthday;

• Sept. 27 for National Public Lands Day;

• Nov. 11 in honor of Veterans Day

If you're looking to access Yellowstone National Park you will want to enter from the North entrance at Gardner, Montana. Wheeled vehicle access is open all year for this route. However if you're looking to access more of the interior of Yellowstone National Park, such as the site of Old Faithful, you're going to need to enlist the services of a guided snowmobile and snowcoach tour.
