I can't think of a store or business that I don't patronize due strictly to their policies.

I have restaurants where I have had bad food or bad service and I won't go back to for a while. I even have certain stores I try not to shop at unless I can go during slower times.

But, I don't have one single place that has policies that bother me so much that I don't shop there. Now, all of you union people can go off here and tell me what I'm missing. I say that because I have friends who are union members who won't shop at Walmart.

Walmart employs 2.2 million people worldwide; 1.4 million are in the U.S. Some 75 percent of their store management teams started as hourly associates who now make from $50,000 to $170,000 per year.

Walmart is America's largest employer and pays the fifth most in federal taxes each year. Last year they paid $7.98 billion in taxes. That billion, with a B.

Locally, the Heights Walmart has given Flakesgiving thousands of dollars through the years.  So, I don't hate Walmart. Or any store, for that matter.
