Move over Weezer. Here's a new pop culture black metal video that's sure to go viral. The satiric kvlt band Woods of Trees, who have already parodied Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On,” Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and some ABBA songs, have taken on '70s and '80s rockers Toto and their monster hit "Africa."

The clip, "Toto - Africa True Blak Metal 2018 Edition," depicts a long-haired, corpse-painted black metal dude playing an unplugged guitar, lip-synching and holding up what appear to be freshly picked yams. As the guy performs for the camera, images of nature, jungle animals and cute kitties are juxtaposed with visions of darkness and death, including obligatory skulls, flames and a silhouette of a weird woman waving her arms. Then, there are the animated clips of rising balloons, a banana being chopped up and hearts that rocket towards the viewer like the warp-speed special effects in a bad sci-fi movie.

The amusing imagery is accompanied by blast beats, a ramped up version of the main hook in "Africa" and crazily revamped lyrics. The best lines:

"She's flying in straight from Norway / The moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me toward Satan."

"I stopped some guy along the way hoping to find a Bathory shirt that he was wearing / He turned to me as if to say Sorry dude, I'm into Deafheaven."

"I know that I must do what's right / Sure as Satan our Lord rises like a balloon filled with helium."

"Africa" has received a bit of resurgence of late with a Twitter account eventually convincing Weezer to cover the Toto song, which in turn led to Toto covering Weezer's "Hash Pipe."

In addition to creating parodies of established songs, Woods of Trees have shot videos for originals including “Black Metal in the Desert” and “Black Metal Busking in Prague.”
