Had a listener ask me the other day, "Why doesn't the Hawk do a NCAA Tournament Pool like you did for the NFL season?"  The answer might surprise you.

We'd love to do a March Madness Pool.  In fact, Townquare Media radio stations are conduction listener pools all over this great country.  But not here in Montana.  That's because our elected officials believe that predicting the outcome of college basketball games is harmful to society.

And it's not just one of those outdated gambling laws that's on the books but never gets enforced.  The Montana Attorney General's Office specifically told us that we can't do a pool.  Sadly, the real reason the Hawk isn't conducting a contest for NCAA brackets is because some bureaucrat in Helena has way too much time on their hands.  Another classic example of your tax dollars at work.
