Madelyn Sheaffer’s bikini is the talk of the town.
Sheaffer, of Independence, Missouri, claims she was booted from Adventure Oasis Water Park last week because her outfit showed off too much of her curvy figure.
Sheaffer says two workers walked over to her while she in a pool with her niece and nephew to tell her she needed to wear shorts since the bottom part of her bikini was considered too small. A supervisor said she would be kicked out of the park if she didn’t comply. Sheaffer says:
I just felt like I was singled out. I felt like it was both age and body discrimination and I felt like I could look around me and I could see a handful of other girls half my age, wearing the same size swimming suit and not being singled out and told to put on clothes or leave.”
Shaeffer was ushered out of the facility and went on to file a complaint against the water park.
What do you think — should Shaeffer have been forced to leave or should she have been allowed to wear the bikini in public? Check out some (slightly NSFW) photos of the bikini in question from Madelyn’s Facebook page below and decide.
