Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Department Says No!
The Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Department have really been working to protect the county without a contract since negotiations began last June. The “new” contract has been rejected!
Will the officers strike? That decision will be made after some facts are sorted through.
A vote to reject was made on March 17 and the Yellowstone County Commissioners learned of the rejected offer on the Tuesday morning.

There is a scheduled vote set to take place next week at the commissioner’s meeting but it will be put on hold until the latest concerns are addressed about the contract.
Union Representative, Darcy Dahle said,
the deputies aren’t trying to get more, they’re simply trying to keep things they already have.
The latest contract does include a 5.13% increase in salary for the Yellowstone County deputies.
