Zimmerman Trail

The opening of Zimmerman Trail has been moved back to sometime during Thanksgiving week.  It was originally set to open by next Thursday.  It has been closed since July as construction crews have be widening the lane and including a roundabout.  I did not realize that they were installing a pedestrian underpass just south of the new round about on the top of Zimmerman.  The cost of the construction project is $7.2 million and includes a new road bed, installing a retaining wall new asphalt and new lighting fixtures.  Now it is just a rush against mother nature.
