'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' may have put the titular Winter Soldier in the film's title, but for a while there it seemed that Marvel didn't want to reveal who was playing that character (even if it was obvious to those who know the comic books and those who checked the cast listings). 'Ant-Man' is gearing up production, and much of the principle cast has been signed, but now it appears that hot character actor Corey Stoll is the latest actor to be rumored to join the great cast of Edgar Wright's upcoming Marvel movie.

It's been all quiet on the 'Prometheus 2' front for a while now, and it seemed like the studio might let the proposed sequel shrink away. Today proves that they're still interested as Michael Green has been hired to do rewrites, and Fox is looking at a fall start date, with a possible March 2016 release.

We haven't heard much about New Regency and Ubisoft's planned big screen version of 'Splinter Cell' since a bidding war broke out to get the film rights and Tom Hardy signed on to play the lead back in 2012. But now the film looks like it might have a director in Doug Liman and an August start date.

With the passing of Harold Ramis, we were hoping that it would also put to rest the possibility of a third 'Ghostbusters' film. But Sony announced that they are going forward with 'Ghostbusters 3,' and now director Ivan Reitman has clarified they plan to start within the next year, though he will no longer be on board as the director.

Since 2011 Marvel has been pushing to release two films a year. Last year gave us 'Iron Man 3' and 'Thor: The Dark World'  with this year offering both 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' while 2015 will bring 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron' and 'Ant-Man.'
