If you are an up-and-coming artist or even an accomplished artist who would like to see your artwork on display in downtown Billings, here is your chance.

And, you have plenty of time.

The Downtown Billings Public Art Committee invites artists to apply for the 2016 Traffic Signal Box Program.  The application deadline is February 29th, 2016.

Artists may submit two-dimensional work of any medium and the selected art will be digitally transferred to a special vinyl overlay that will be professionally wrapped around the traffic signal box, according to Natasha Potratz, arts and events director for the Downtown Billings Alliance.

All submissions will be reviewed by a selection panel comprised of local artists, gallery owners, business owners, and members of the Billings Cultural Partners. Up to six artists will be chosen and will receive compensation.

The vinyl wrap is weather resistant, spray paint resistant, and can last up to 5 years. Pictures of existing wrapped traffic signal boxes and their map locations can be viewed HERE.
