The biggest-selling comedy recording artist of all time is coming to MetraPark on August 25th, 2019. "Weird Al" Yankovic is back with his "Strings Attached" Tour featuring all his classics including "Eat It,” “Smells Like Nirvana,” "I Love Rocky Road" and more backed by a full symphony orchestra.
Magic City Music Awards is open to the public and takes place Friday from 7:30 – 11 p.m. A $5 admission price goes back to Amp Camp, a rhythm section retreat hosted each summer at Rocky Mountain College that helps prepare emerging musicians for a career in music.
Tyler Cook, guitarist for Dead Presleys, will emcee the event. Performances by local bands, solo musicians, and collaborations of various groups include Deathwish, Cloudflowers, Daniel Kosel, Arterial Drive, The High Country String Band, The Hellroaring with Grant Allen Jones and Jessica Eve Lechner, and Alder Lights.
Three bands performing at the awards show are up for New Band of the Year, and one of them is the winner.
