They say the perfect dog doesn't exist. We disagree. Our featured Wet Nose Wednesday pet this week is darn near perfect and checks all of the right boxes. His name is Weiland, and he loves people, kids, other dogs, and cats.

Weiland is a five-year-old Pit mix. Sadly, he was surrendered to the Yellowstone Family Animal Shelter because of his skin condition, which is somewhat common among Pitties. His former owner(s) felt like they couldn't take care of him any longer. Not that it's that difficult. Weiland requires just one pill a day to help him relieve his itch.

He's a handsome, medium-sized dog, weighing 50 pounds. Weiland is smart and eager to please. He loves showing off his basic command skills like sit and stay, and he would love to be your adventure companion or couch buddy.

Lost your dog? Check YVAS first!

Lots of strays have been arriving at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter in the past few weeks, a typical spring uptick. If your pet escapes the fence or runs away, please remember to check with YVAS.

The shelter makes every effort to reconnect lost dogs with their owners, but oftentimes these dogs don't have a microchip or tags, or the owners' information is no longer current.
