Hundreds of Motorcycles to Honor 9-11 in Billings, Laurel Ride
If you notice a thundering pack of motorcycles rolling through Yellowstone County on September 13th, don’t worry, it's all for a great cause. It’s the 20th Annual 9-11 Remembrance Ride, organized by the B.A.S.T.A.R.D.S. (which stands for “Bikers Against Stupid Twits And Really Dumb Sh*ts” - yes, that’s the real name).
While the club name might raise eyebrows, the mission is dead serious: honoring the lives lost in the September 11th attacks and raising money for veterans and service members. And though we wrapped up the Bike Night season this week, it's certainly still motorcycle weather in Montana.

Organizers are anticipating a record turnout for the ride.
Last year, around 400 bikes showed up. This year? Expect closer to 500 or more. The day kicks off at Laurel Chevrolet with sign-up at 9:30 a.m. before riders parade to the Yellowstone County Courthouse in Billings for a remembrance ceremony.
Afterward, participants can hit poker run stops including Cowboys in Huntley, Paula’s Longbranch in Ballantine, the Powder Horn Lounge, and Fenway’s Sports Bar.
Win serious cash.
Poker hands are $20 each, with prizes for the best and worst hands, because sometimes losing pays. They’re also raffling off two $1,000 cash prizes, with the drawing happening at Fenway’s Sports Bar & Casino the same day.

The real win? Proceeds benefit Laurel Hometown Troops, who send care packages to deployed men and women, and Adaptive Performance Center in Billings, which helps veterans rediscover purpose and strength. In 2024, the ride raised nearly $22,000 for these causes.
So, whether you ride or just wave from the sidewalk, the roar of pipes on September 13th isn’t just noise; it’s reflecting on a day none of us will ever forget, and honoring those who perished on 9/11.
