Heavy snowfall last week. Bitter subzero temperatures and wind chills  this week. Let's plan a summer vacation!

It wasn't that many years ago that we didn't have to make these kinds of plans well in advance. But massive crowds have made it the new normal, and the sooner you can get your travel dates in order, the better chance you will have to enjoy one of Montana's true treasures.

Glacier National Park reminds visitors that the 120-day advance timed entry vehicle reservations become available starting at 8:00 am Mountain Time on Thursday, February 13. This is a correction from a previous announcement that stated reservations would be released on February 12.

A timed entry vehicle reservation is required from June 13 to September 28, 2025, for the West Side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork. Reservations are $2 per ticket processing fee, nonrefundable, and can only be purchased on the Glacier National Park page of the recreation.gov website. Visitors must create an account before booking.

The entry time blocks for Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork will be in two-hour increments: 7 am to 9 am, 9 am to 11 am, 11 am to 1 pm, and 1 pm to 3 pm. Visitors
can enter reservation areas at any time during the 2-hour time block they have reserved and can remain in the park for as long as they like on the day of their reservation.

All is not lost if for some reason you miss your designated 2-hour window. Visitors who miss their reserved time block can enter after 3 pm.

Not computer savvy? It's okay, they have you covered there, too.  Visitors may also make a reservation through the Recreation.gov call center. Contacting the call center does not provide an advantage towards securing a reservation but provides an alternative for those who don’t have access to the internet or are not as familiar with technology. Call centers are open every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mountain Time.

The toll-free reservation number is (877) 444-6777.
