Many Montanans Buy Into This Conspiracy. What About You?

I don't know about you, but I love a good conspiracy theory. Who shot JFK? What's really at Area 51? Is Bigfoot real? Is Earth flat?

Ok, that last one seems a little ridiculous, but that's the beauty of a conspiracy theory, they can be as crazy as you want them to be. Of course, the key to a really good conspiracy theory is that there always seems to be some truth to make you wonder.

So what about here in Montana? I mean most Montanans are grounded folks with above-average common sense. Do we have any conspiracy theories we believe in?

Actually, yes we do. It's one of the most popular conspiracy theories out there and according to recent data, a large percent of the Montana population is buying into it.

What conspiracy theory does a large portion of Montanans believe in?

The folks over at Bet Kentucky put together a list of the states with the largest populations of people who don't believe the Moon landing happened and it just so happened that Montana made the list.

While Montana isn't the top state, we did make the Top 10. The Treasure State came in 8th when it comes to states where people spend time on the internet researching the whole conspiracy theory behind the Moon landing.

Oh and in case you are wondering, Utah ranks 1st as far as those not buying we landed on the Moon, and our neighbors over in North Dakota came in 3rd.

Listen, while I think we probably did land on the moon, I get why there might be a question or two. I mean, it probably wouldn't be that difficult to stage such an event, plus, why haven't we been back? Or have we? Do we have a secret base on the Moon?
