Montana is known for its wide-open spaces and beautiful scenery, but there seems to be something ugly lurking underneath the surface. Are Montanans taking being a good neighbor too far?
Do Montana Residents Need to Mind Their Own Business?
Before I get attacked for asking that simple question, let me explain myself. I don't spend much time on social media because I think it's a waste of time for the most part. Whenever I log on to Facebook or any other social media platform, I'm disappointed to see how badly people treat one another. Montana residents seem to be more divided than ever, and it's not a good look for the state.
Whether it be politics or bad parking jobs, certain Montana residents are quick to attack others with judgement and unsolicited advice. Why are so many Montanans worried about what other people are doing? What happened to live and let live?
Montana is a diverse state, and that diversity should be celebrated. If everyone thought the same exact way, Montana would be a very boring place to live. Regardless of where you're from, you should be able to be comfortable living in Big Sky Country.
Montanans share a deep love for the land and a strong work ethic, and when it comes down to it, there is more that unites us than separates us. Being kind to others is something that Montana residents are known for. People need to stop going out of their way to insult others and make them feel unwelcome.
