I gotta admit- I was getting choked up just driving to the Billings Airport. To see all of the cars and all of the people on the side of the road just to get a glimpse of the US Navy Blue Angels was incredible. And this was just for ONE jet, let alone the entire team and the entire air show that will be in Billings, Montana later this summer.

The #7 and #8 US Navy Blue Angels touched down at the Edwards Jet Center in Billings Friday afternoon for a coordination meeting ahead of the big show in Summer of 2023.

I was able to catch up with both of the pilots, and two former Blue Angels pilots who served 32 years ago- which is about how many years ago when the Navy's Blue Angels last performed in Billings, Montana.

We'll feature more of that content in the days ahead.

If this is what it looked like Friday afternoon, imagine what kind of crowd will show up for the full air show this summer:

It was great to see so many reactions from people who got to see the Blue Angels at the airport. Here is what one of our friends on Facebook had to say as they caught a glimpse of the jet across town:

I work at a elementary school as a lunch recess aid, and our 4th graders were outside at recess at the time the fly over happened, and the kids were Soo excited. They kept running all over the playground just to try to get another glimpse of the jet.
