The Colonial Apartments, a decrepit, three-story building in downtown Billings known for its long history of criminal activity, is one step closer to becoming something else. Or gone altogether.

We knew rents were getting high around here, but this is nuts! Only two states saw a larger increase in rental prices.

It was intimidating at first, but I learned quickly that I treasure living alone. I wanted to share my experiences with you, and maybe you know someone about to embark on their own who would benefit from these experiences.
