If you're looking for a hotel room in Bozeman for the Cat-Griz game this weekend, it looks like you may still be in luck. Plus, can we stop calling it "the Brawl of the Wild?" It's a football game...not some organic fair trade coffee brand.
I think Bozeman needs to lighten up. But as a longtime Bozeman resident, decent citizen, frustrated taxpayer, and a proud Montana State alum, I can see both sides of this issue that I never gave a sneeze about in years past.
You know the one. It ends with "Go Cats Go!" Considering the nationally televised coverage Bozeman will be receiving this Saturday, it's not an unreasonable request.
If you've spent as much time on Facebook as I have, you'll know that sometimes an opinion is more controversial than others. But, it's honestly quite hilarious to read and react to the arguments I read online.
If I'm reading this story right, the Montana State Bobcats and the University of Montana Grizzlies will not be playing a football season this Spring. The Cats and the Griz will not be eligible for a Big Sky Conference Championship, nor will they be eligible to play in an FSC football championship game. But, why can't we do a Cat-Griz game? Let's do it in Butte. On St. Patrick's Day.
I could care less about the Big 10, the PAC this, or the PAC that. I care about the Big Sky. And our kids should be able to play. Let's make a Cat-Griz game happen this November.
