A local car club is hosting a Christmas light cruise Friday night. It departs Fork and Fuel at 6 pm.

Lynyrd Skynyrd have signed on host and curate the 2012 Simple Man Cruise, a floating rock ‘n’ roll party set for Oct. 27-31 on Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest luxury liner, the Pearl. The cruise, which sets sail from Miami, will feature about a dozen different bands rocking the ship, including Skynyrd, the Doobie Brothers and up-and-coming Southern rockers like Blackberry Smoke and the Dirty Guv’na

If you’ve ever wanted to join the Kiss Navy and hang out with the band on the high seas, now’s your chance: the dates for the second Kiss Kruise have been announced.

The official Kiss fan club is known as the Kiss Army, but when the band’s most loyal supporters set sail with the band, do they become the Kiss Navy? Perhaps that question will be answered on Oct. 13. That’s when the first-ever Kiss Kruise — featuring two performances by the group, social activities with select members and more — departs from Miami and heads to the Bahamas and back.
