Montana Renewables and the Calumet refinery received their first 5 rail cars full of camelina. The camelina will now be put to use making renewable diesel fuel in Great Falls and open up a new market for Montana farmers.

I swear I am observant... though sometimes, I feel like I am wandering through life without a clue.

Today, ExxonMobile and its affiliates reached an agreement with Par Pacific Holdings to sell the Billings Refinery and other assets in Montana and Washington.

All employees have been accounted for, no injuries were reported and the air quality in the immediate area has been deemed safe.

No one, not even the refinery owners themselves, are going to claim that they add to the aesthetics of our city (their very positive contribution to our locally booming economy noted). However, every once in awhile, in just the right light at just the right angle just about anything can look beautiful...
