Winter driving

It's not so much the snow or ice or low visibility that drives us bonkers.

Snowfall is expected to be heaviest south of Billings. Red Lodge could get up to 12"and travel to Wyoming could be hazardous. A Winter Storm Watch begins at 12 AM Wednesday and runs through Friday at 5 PM.

The Montana Department of Transportation will reassess the conditions over the weekend (the pass will likely reopen by Monday). Beartooth Highway typically closes for the season in mid-October.

Can you believe this person decided to drive this car in the snow?! What were they thinking?

This morning, I tried to start gathering all the winter stuff that normally sits in the trunk of my car for the next six months of Montana winter.

Most of my driving life has been right here in good old Billings, Montana.  That would be 40+ years worth of winter driving.  As I was heading home around 9am for a "lunch" break from work I went up North 27th street.  The snow was coming down pretty good...
