Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti -- with help from bassist Wolfgang Van Halen -- has finished recording the second, as-yet-untitled album with his eponymous side band, setting a release date for early 2015. This follow up to 2012's 'All I Was' was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, who has also worked on Tremonti's Alter Bridge projects as well as with Slash.

A new video, attached above, offers a sneak peek along with information on a series of support packages where fans can help fund the forthcoming Tremonti project. Incentives range from hand-written lyric sheets to signed and numbered albums to special listening parties.

Wolfgang, son of Eddie Van Halen, briefly appears at the clip's one-minute mark. He has been working with Tremonti since 2012, initially filling in for Brian Marshall on an already scheduled tour.

"Van Halen will always be his priority, whenever they are touring," Tremonti has said. "When he’s not touring, he’ll be with us. He will write and play on the records and, if he is on tour with Van Halen, we will find somebody that he is comfortable with filling in his shoes."

Alter Bridge remains active, having released its fourth album 'Fortress' last year. A listening party for the second Tremonti project is set for January in Orlando, Florida. It's likely served as a nice distraction for Tremonti, whose Creed bandmate Scott Stapp has been in the midst of what appears to be a very public meltdown.
