2015 Yellowstone County Relay For Life Was a Huge Success! [Pictures]
After an anticipated thunderstorm hit the Billings West High track on Friday afternoon about 4:45 p.m., final Relay For Life set-up was put on hold.
Billings once again came through for a fantastic Relay for Life July 10th! After the storm hit at the end of my 5 p.m. live broadcast and tore up a bunch of stuff, the event was up and put back together within an hour and 1,000's showed up at 7pm for a great event! The storm cleared the skies for the 15 minute fireworks display Friday night!
Businesses, individuals and nearly 200 teams helped raise $596,000 for this year's relay! Co-chair, Robin Hanel said that there were about 8,000 luminaria sold.
Fundraising continues through August and I am confident that we will go beyond our goal of $600,000. -Co-chair, Robin Hanel
