Few restaurants make their desserts these days. I had the pleasure of eating at a five-star restaurant in Idaho recently and even they had their desserts brought in from elsewhere. At Hog Wild, they still make these pies from scratch and they're worth every penny. The only negative is that they tend to run out of certain pies as the day goes on, but you do have the option to order a whole pie 24 hours ahead.

My food photography is pretty terrible, so try not to judge the pie based on my photo. It was way better than I was able to make it look. If you're curious, this piece was strawberry rhubarb. Hog Wild is a great spot for breakfast or lunch, so check them out if you haven't...and by all means, don't skip the pie!
