Billings Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying and Locating Arson and Burglary Suspects [Video]
Billings Police Detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating the individuals suspected of burglarizing and setting fire to both a local business and Rose Park Pool last month.
Shortly before 2 a.m. on March 31, Billings Fire and Police personnel responded to Billings Extinguishing Systems Technology, 425 North 18th St., to a structure fire. The fire was started by an incendiary device; surveillance video shows three to four individuals breaking into the business through a window and leaving several minutes later through the front door just before the fire broke out.
A third of the business was a total loss; damages were estimated at $100,000.
At 1:47 a.m., also on March 31, the Billings Fire Department and Police Department responded to the Rose Park Pool located at 21st Street West and Avenue C to a structure fire where they discovered the concessions area of the building engulfed in flames.The fire was incendiary in nature. There was extensive damage to the concessions area, women’s locker room and attic. Damages are estimated at $200,000.
The Billings Police Department is requesting anyone with information concerning the fires, burglary or the individuals leaving the business to contact Crime Stoppers at 245-6660. Callers can remain anonymous and may be entitled to a cash reward.
