Billings Post Office Leader Advises to Not Wait One More Minute to Get Those Packages Mailed
If you have Christmas packages to send across state or across the country, postal services workers are advising you run -- do not walk -- to get them sent.
The popularity of Cyber Monday and great online deals were already causing some delays. Now, add a winter storm in the mix and you. have a perfect recipe for the Grinch to truly steal Christmas. Mail trucks were expected to be pulled off some routes on Monday
If you want your package to arrive before Christmas, then standard post delivery must be sent by today, Tuesday, December 15, Tanya Vundel, dayshift supervisor for the Billings Post Office said. But, even at that, you are really pressing your luck, she said.
For first-class mail delivery, you need to have it mailed by December 19. Priority mail delivery can be mailed by December 21, and priority express can be sent by December 23.
These guidelines are strictly for packages being sent inside the U.S. For your loved ones overseas, there are separate delivery guidelines that you find right here: military and international packages.
Billings is home to at least five post offices and several local express mail services, including:

Singer said there is only one post office that will be open Saturday at that is the Pioneer Post office at 724 15th St. W. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you have questions about operations at any of them, call first.
In addition, mail trucks are running on Sunday to mail letters and packages moving.
Vundel said, the U.S. Postal Service will be closed and no mail will be delivered on either Friday, December 25 (Christmas Day) or on Friday, January 1 (New Year’s Day).
