Bono vs. Rod Stewart: March Mullet Madness
Bono and Rod Stewart have both marched forward to the elite eight in our March Mullet Madness battle with their awesome 'dos. But which of these legends' Kentucky Waterfalls moves on to the final four?
We’ve lined up 16 of history’s most spectacular mullets and paired them off against each other for a series of tonsorial battles. We’re already down to eight, and will be halving the field every week based on your votes, until only the greatest mullet in rock ‘n’ roll history is left standing.
The U2 frontman's "party in the back, business up front" hair pretty much helped define the concept of the mullet in the '80s, arguably its most prominent decade. Stewart sported a similar look years earlier, but those spiky locks have had almost as much history as the singer himself. Bono didn't give Bob Seger the beating we expected, squeaking by with just 52 percent of the vote. Stewart's victory over Geddy Lee was even more slight: He snagged only 51 percent.
So which of these two high-class Tennessee top hats gets your vote? If you just can’t decide, don’t worry — you can come back and keep voting once an hour between now and when the Round Two polls close on March 28 at 11:59PM ET. Our March Mullet Madness winner will be announced on April 12.
